1. About Nearby Pantry

Nearby Pantry (nearbypantry.com) is a free map of farm shops, markets, wine farms, vending machines and other places to buy local food. It is run by Nearby Pantry, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42004553. By using the website you agree to these terms.

2. Listing information

Listings come from public sources such as OpenStreetMap, from the businesses' own websites and from visitors. We do our best to keep them accurate, but opening hours, products and other details change, and we can't guarantee that everything is correct or up to date. Please check with the business before you travel.

Nearby Pantry is independent. Unless a listing says otherwise, we're not affiliated with the businesses we list, and a listing isn't an endorsement.

3. Your contributions

You can add listings, suggest changes, and post reviews and photos. When you do, you confirm that:

  • the information is honest and, as far as you know, accurate;
  • you took the photos yourself, or have permission to share them;
  • your contribution doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.

You keep the rights to your photos and texts. You give Nearby Pantry a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to publish them on Nearby Pantry and its social media channels, and to resize or crop them for display. This licence ends when we remove the contribution.

Every contribution is checked by a moderator before it appears. We may edit, refuse or remove contributions, for example if they're inaccurate, off-topic or break these terms.

4. Reviews

  • Only review places you've actually visited or bought from.
  • Don't post fake or paid reviews, and don't review your own business or a competitor's.
  • Keep it respectful: no insults, discrimination, spam or advertising.
  • Don't include other people's personal information.

5. For business owners

Is your business listed and something isn't right, or would you rather not be listed? Let us know through our contact form and we'll correct or remove the listing as soon as we can.

6. Paid features

Nearby Pantry is free to use. In the future we may offer paid options for businesses, such as premium listings or advertising. Advertising will always be clearly labelled, and separate terms will apply to paid services.

7. Intellectual property

The website's design, icons and texts belong to Nearby Pantry. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Map tiles © CARTO.

8. Liability

Nearby Pantry is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we're not liable for damage resulting from using the website or relying on its information, for example a wasted trip because a shop had changed its opening hours. We're also not responsible for the products or services of the businesses listed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Dutch law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we introduce new features. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protections that the law of your own country gives you.
