Spier is one of the oldest working wine farms in South Africa, set on the banks of the Eerste River just outside Stellenbosch. Visitors can taste across several ranges in the tasting room, join a Segway tour through the vineyards, visit the resident birds of prey, or eat at one of the estate's restaurants and bakery. The farm also hosts an amphitheatre for summer concerts and a hotel for overnight stays.
