Simonsig is a fourth-generation family estate near Koelenhof credited with producing South Africa's first Methode Cap Classique sparkling wine in 1971. The tasting room offers seated tastings and wine-and-cheese or charcuterie platters looking out over the Simonsberg and Stellenbosch mountains, and cellar tours run several times a day. The farm is open to visitors every day except Christmas and New Year's Day.
